The road to certification

It’s strongly recommended that you have a Grade 12 high school diploma (or the equivalent), with emphasis on math, physics and science credits. You should also be physically fit enough to climb ladders and open and close large valves. You may also be required to enter pressure vessels for inspection and maintenance.

Academic classroom training as well as practical on-the-job experience will assist you in achieving a dynamic career as an Operating Engineer.
